Current Inspiration

August 8th

I don't know if it's the energy of the lunar eclipse today or my jet lag kicking in or what, but yesterday somewhat of a struggle.

Recently, I have been making it a point to be mindful and focus on gratitude and the present moment, but man do I feel exhausted.

I am still making the effort though to share two things that have inspired me this week.

The 1st is Galantis - Hunter

Probably because it's my life at the given moment (letting things go, surrendering):

I am the hunter, I am the great unknown
Only my love can conquer
I am the, I am the hunter (I am the hunter)
I am the hunter, into the wild, we go
Give up your heart, surrender
'Cause I am the, I am the hunter (I am the—hey!)

[Verse 1]
We've been on this road
To a place that, one day, we'll know
Adventure to the other side (I am the, I am the)
Searching high and low for the treasure deep in your soul
The fortune teller's always right

The second is a book that I am only halfway through (another theme for my life at the moment) called the 5 people you will meet in Heaven.

Favorite quotes so far:

"There are five people you meet in heaven," the Blue Man suddenly said. "Each of us was in your life for a reason. You may not have known the reason at the time, and that is what heaven is for. For understanding your life on earth."

"

"Strangers, are just family you have yet come to know"

"No life is a waste," the Blue Man said. "The only time we waste is the time we spend thinking we are alone."

"Sacrifice," the Captain said. "You made one. I made one. We all make them. But you were angry over yours. You kept thinking about what you lost. You didn't get it Sacrifice is a part of life. It's supposed to be. It's not something to regret. It's something to aspire to"

"That's the thing. Sometimes when you sacrifice something precious, you're not really losing it. You're just passing it along to someone else"

"You have peace," the old woman said, "when you make it with yourself."

"Learn this from me. Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from the inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves."

Two more people to go!

Hope everyone is well out there
