The Seattle Rep has long held a special place in my heart - see blog entry on that here:

But like all relationships, there have been ups and downs

The Seattle Rep Donor Lounge is taken over by 🎭 Le Actors

Am I Giving Too Much?

This was the question that I have been asking myself coming into my second season. I am the type of person who puts my full heart into everything that I do.

And I won't go into the backstory, but the main point being is, that I was (and continue to) feel into how I show up at the Rep.

So what's the Point?

Being able to be a part of the 10 year anniversary of come from way. (ADD LINK)

It All Started at DInner

November 22nd to be exact. Having hosted the Benjamin Moore (please see picture below for another full circle moment), I have developed a love of working donor events, which thankfully is recriprocated 🙈.

I was asked to work the "Alhadeff Dinner."

What I did not know was that it would become such a magical kick off to a production that literally has changed my entire world

I am Writing it as it Ensues

Come From Away

So all I knew about the event was that it would be around 100+ Donors, and I would be bartending.

Reality:

I got to hear Kenny Alhadeff give one of the most touching speeches I have ever heard in my entire life

The Backstory:

Come From Away originally opened at the Seattle Reperatory Theatre in 2015. It then went on to travel the world, London, Broadway, etc... Win a bunch of Tony's and here we all were at the "third birth" of the show.

He also spoke of how meaningful it was to share this moment with his daughter (Andi who is INCREDIBLY TALENTED and a CONSTANT source of inspiration for me).

The Coolest Part:

It's the 10 year anniversary, and the "third birth" of it happens to be at the theatre in originated from "home" as Kenny said. It has already been beyond an honor to be a part of the run and it has only JUST STARTED.
